I don’t pay for your hobbies, so it is not obvious why you should pay for mine. While I am usually shameless, this being a job qualification of journalism, I have not panhandled for maybe twenty years, partly from embarrassment and partly because the exigencies of life did not then make wielding the rice bowl a matter of any importance. But things change with the passage of time (You saw it here first) The inherent resistance of life to movement through it can increase, even in Mexico. I will not use any contribution frivolously, as in running away to Paris with my secretary (I don’t have one, and anyway Violeta would kill me, or maybe say good riddance, neither of which I encourage).
